How To Get Google Chrome Update Dev 66, Beta 65, Stable 64

Google Chrome Update

Getting Google Chrome updates can only be done through Chrome itself, unlike Chromium's open-source update which we can deliberately choose. For Chromebook users, this is highly anticipated, as there will be no updates except those already announced by Google. For example, as I wrote about the latest update in the previous article.

This is how to get Google Chrome Update:

On Chromebook:

  1. Click on your profile picture on the lower right of your screen.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Click on three stripes on the top left to reveal About Chrome.
  4. Click on the version area to update.

It will be updated automatically (restart needed), you can conveniently keep using your Chromebook. You can also change the channel here, but I won't recommend it unless you really need to play with this.

On Other Computer:

  1. Click three dots button on your upper right.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Click on three stripes on the top left to reveal About Chrome.
  4. Click on the version area to update.

You will then have to relaunch Chrome manually.

What's New in This Google Chrome Update?

Problem With Your Chrome?

You can try doing the steps below and see if it helps:

  • Use incognito mode. If this helps to solve the problem, then temporarily disable your extensions to identify which one is causing the rendering problem. To do this go to chrome://extensions and uncheck Enabled for each extension one by one.

  • Remove unwanted programs from Chrome.

  • Your profile account might have been corrupted. Try creating a new browser user profile and check if that makes a difference.

  • Reset your browser settings.

We should stop our kids from playing Street Fighter V! If you're just about my age, then you're also blessed with the opportunity to witness the evolution of Street Fighter from day 1 in 1987. And now, Street Fighter V hits the market along with the comebacks of the old Street Fighter characters such as Sagat, Blanka, and even Bison. But, I can't find Ken anywhere. What happened to this clone Ryu character dressed in red? Let's watch the video before we continue: What do you think? Looking good, right? Let's Talk About Why We Should Stop Our Kids From Playing Street Fighter V Oversexualized Character You should've realized that there are many oversexualized female characters in Street Fighter since our childhood. Happens in games anime, and manga. And they still are oversexualized now. I don't have to show you all of the old references but you can see the new one in the video above. People’s Appreciation to Perspective

Have you realized that the people pay more appreciation about perspective today than ever? Thank’s to the trend of front camera. Started about ten years ago, the internet is getting populated by selfies. Made for friends or for self-collection. What does it have to do with perspective?  Well, people tend to look skinnier, prettier etc (according to them) when the photo was taken on a high angle.  You know that the further the subject to the lens, the smaller it becomes. No need a week in physics class to teach us that. So, have you made a selfie today? Some Kardashian thing?

How To Install SSL Certificate and Get HTTPS

Starting this July, Chrome will mark all non-HTTPS nets as unsafe webs to open. Actually, not a new thing for internet users in general (get a warning). But imagine if this is enforced and the web owners neglect to embed SSL on their web. How many visitors will avoid their web? I started to use HTTPS when I get into trouble in taking care of something with HTTP web. I didn't know how to install SSL certificate and get HTTPS back then. At that time I was upset because I constantly got the warning every time I switch to another page in PLESK. I did not get a satisfactory answer from my previous hosting provider. Then I decided to move one of my website to Namecheap while leaving the other one on the old provider. Namecheap made the migration easy and fast. In my story, I was able to write my next article in the next day. Need website builder? Consider one of these. Wanna Know How To Install SSL Certificate and Get HTTPS for your website? First, you need CPanel. Since you're re...
